Capita Insurance Services has been appointed by the British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) to provide a comprehensive motor breakdown service through its 2000-strong broker membership.
Capita will provide a complete electronic fulfilment pack, to enable BIBA member brokers to market and sell individual policies directly to their customers. The comprehensive cover operates through an approved national and European network of recovery agents and aims to provide roadside assistance within 30 minutes of receiving a call for help. There are three levels of protection offered to vehicles up to 20 years old; UK roadside assistance, home assist and European cover. Other benefits include no mileage restrictions and additional cover for assistance in the event of illness, theft, vandalism, or accident.
Simon Blows, Business Relationship Manager, Capita Insurance Services said: "The provision of a comprehensive motor breakdown service to BIBA brokers will enable them to deliver enhanced customer service to policyholders. This appointment by BIBA reflects the quality of service we provide and demonstrates that we can add real value in the provision of outsourced services to the personal lines sector."
Graeme Trudgill, BIBA Technical services officer, commented: "Capita is the leading provider of outsourced services to the insurance market and has a strong track-record of policy administration provision. This partnership means we can offer a valuable service to our broker membership at a highly competitive cost."
